We’re very fortunate to have our own well-equipped shack.  On HF we’re currently QRV from 40m up to 6m using our Flex 6400 running through an Expert 1.3KW amplifier, to a 3 element SteppIR beam from 20-10m and which acts as a rotary folded back dipole on 30/40m.  The beam antenna is mounted atop an 18m Strumech Versatower and turned with a Yaesu (Standard) DXC2800 rotator.

The system is integrated via the PC so that the Flex, SteppIR, Amplifier and all the software follows the user’s control  for logging and other automated functions.   This enables a fairly sophisticated system to be used by the operator just concentrating on the Flex 6400 and the PC logging program.
