The Shack

The VHF and up operating position.
The prime mover is a TS2000x. To its left are amplifiers for 6m and 70cms. Above is a 23cms ATV transmitter.

To the left is the TS2000x which is the prime mover for 50MHz and up. In the middle is the shared HF/VHF/UHF) rotator. To the right is the HF operating position with an FT-990 and FL-2100 linear. Above is the PC display used to for operator support, cluster, digital modes etc. Cluster is accessed via broadband Internet.

HF ATU and Linear, all set for a spot of CW operating.

The FT-990 all set for a spell of HF SSB operating. For some reason the majority of club operators still prefer paper logging.

The center of the console contains all of the antenna and amplifier configuration switches, the HF and VHF power and SWR monitoring and the rotator controller.

Eugene "Big Brother" Sulley, G0VIQ operating GX3WSC on HF SSB.

The club 23cms ATV system. Capable of running full duplex. This systems was originally constucted as the replacement GB3CT TV repeater, but it's licience was declined. We were never given satisfactory technical grounds for this rejection. We now regularly operate this as a manned station and have never received any complaint of interference. If you would like to work us, then please set up a sched. When we have gathered significant evidence of satisfactory operation we will reapply for the repeater licience.
